The Hephzibah Baptist Association founded in 1794 is the second oldest Baptist Association in Georgia. The purpose of the HBA is to support existing churches in fulfilling the commands of Christ summarized in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, and to assist in the establishment of new work (missions, ministries and churches). We serve in cooperation with the Georgia Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. (See the list of supporting churches below)

MISSION PARTNERSHIP MINISTRY
In 2004 the Hephzibah Baptist Association in cooperation with the Kilpatrick Baptist Association sent volunteers to Southern West Virginia to conduct Mission Vacation Bible Schools and perform needed construction work on churches or private residences. We have now developed a Mission Partnership with the Mountain State Baptist Association in Princeton, WVA for this work to continue for the next few years. Participation in this Mission Service began with 33 volunteers in 2004. We anticipate over 125 volunteers to be on Mission in WVA July 8-15 of 2006.
CHURCH LAY DEVELOPMENT MINISTRY
Each year the HBA sponsors lay development training. This Year the training is scheduled for the last Monday and Tuesday in August. The theme for the 2006 training is Developing Disciples. The 2007 training will be on the theme of Sunday School Leader Development.
