Even In the Darkest Corners; Christ Is Risen Indeed: Alleluia!

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:5

From a "Secret Believer" In Pakistan:

"Christ has risen! When you said that in your Churches around the world, it was in unison with the voices of Christians and the heart song of Christians in the Muslim world. Whether they could yell it out like you could or just say it in a controled steady chant with a policeman breathing behind them or whether they could just whisper it to the Lord from under a blanket- there were brothers and sisters here in Pakistan, across the border in Iran, in Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, perhaps even in Afghanistan, I believe also in Saudi Arabia, who were saying 'Christ is risen Allelujah'.

Men and women across the world whether free to practise Christianity or not rejoiced across the world that Jesus who died on the cross has risen too. Oh what a beautiful story to tell. Is it not exciting that God became man and dwelt among us, walked in our midst, taught his disciples and then went to the cross for it? But hallelujah again and again - he did not remain in the grave. He rose again! What a beautiful story that he broke the bondage of my sin. But how will I tell that story? It cannot remain hidden away and wrapped in grave clothes, it is a story that even death could not hold. Will you and I be part of God's plan for the telling of that story and the sharing of the hope that comes from a ressurected conquering Christ?

All I want to do is tell this story. I want to use whatever I have and every opportunity God gives me to tell this story. I have a dream for those who do not know Jesus. I dream of people being restored to this ressurected Christ and knowing healing and life in Him. But like many other Maaria I face challenges. I face the challenge first and foremost of a culture where this is a crime, a culture where people do not want to talk about Jesus but only about Allah and Mohammad. I face laws that make it unacceptable for me to tell this story in the Muslim world. The enemy is out to force us into silence and stop us in any way he can from telling the story. But remember the grave could not hold Jesus - Satan cant stop the world from knowing that Jesus is alive. That ressurection life of Jesus is being revealed to Jesus even today where many many in the Muslim world are like the two on the road to Emmaus. Pray they will recognise that risen Christ."
